Legacy Plus Mandolin

March 25, 2016

Clearwater, Florida - Michael Kelly today released details of its new Legacy Plus Mandolin. The Legacy Plus breaks every rule you’ve ever come to expect from a moderate priced f-style mandolin. First off, the Legacy Plus is, like all Michael Kelly mandolins, constructed of all solid wood with a solid hand-carved spruce top! That feature alone sets the Legacy Plus apart, but Michael Kelly didn’t stop there. You’ll also find a radiused rosewood fretboard for ease of playing, reliable Grover tuners and Michael Kelly’s new exclusive design one-piece tailpiece.

This new hefty tailpiece (weighing in at close to double some well-known tailpieces) is designed to transfer the maximum amount of string vibration to the body, providing increased tone, ringing sustain and volume. With some one-piece tailpieces, string changes are difficult and sometimes the overall visual appeal can suffer. Not with the Michael Kelly tailpiece its specially designed "cover" hides the area where the strings meet the tailpiece, while the easily accessible mounting system makes string changes quick and easy when compared to other one-piece tailpieces.

The Legacy Plus a value packed, f-style mandolin that’s definitely true to Michael Kelly’s motto of "built on sound".
