Kentucky KM-160 Mandolin Sunburst

Discontinued

KM-160

The KM-160 Sunburst features a solid spruce top and solid flamed maple back and sides. The neck is one piece maple with a rosewood fingerboard and a 12th fret dovetail joint. The neck and body are fully bound. The nut is bone and the tuners are Gotoh. The top is hand graduated for improved tone. The 160 series mandolins use a vintage body shape. Additional features include a traditional 2 screw coverplate that makes truss rod adjustments quick and painless (no more having to move strings out of the way to get to the coverplate screws). The Kentucky Mandolins also feature a genuine Nitro-Cellulose finish that does not choke the tone out of the wood. There is a rosewood overlay on the peghead and the Kentucky script is Mother of Pearl.

Every Kentucky mandolin we sell, is setup in our shop before shipment. Be careful letting your friends play it. You may have trouble getting it back!

Saga has reintroduced the KM-160 A-model mandolin. Not only have all the specifications been upgraded, but they managed to keep the price low as well.
