KM-150
As of late 2012, KM-150 production is now overseen by the team that makes the Kentucky Master Models (KM-900 and higher). The tone has improved, while the finish quality is not quite as good. We are actually very happy with the trade off!
Folkmusician sells more Kentucky KM-150 mandolins than anyone, anywhere in the world. Apparently word about our setup work is getting around. Thank you!
An all solid mandolin at an affordable price? Yes!, that is exactly what you get with the KM-150. This is the next step up from the lower laminated models such as the KM-140. The playability will be identical; however, the KM150 will have superior tone and volume. The KM-150 is voiced with a good bark to it. This makes a great bluegrass mandolin. We go through every mandolin and set it up to play like the big boys, resulting in low string height without buzzing. The Kentucky KM-150 rules this price range and buying it from Folkmusician, guarantees it will play and sound great!
