Trinity College TM-625 Octave Mandolin

Discontinued

TM-625

The Octave Mandolin is a relatively recent addition to the Celtic Music Tradition. It can be tuned in a variety of ways and the scale length of 20 3/8" places it between the mandola and the Irish Bouzouki in its sound. Trinity College has designed their TM-625 Octave Mandolin to be the finest of its type--an instrument that combines the character and refinement of a hand-built custom instrument with the attractive price of the mass-produced article. The top of the TM-625 is select, solid spruce--arched for great strength and tonal power. The back and sides are of solid Indian Rosewood, nicely bound with fine wood purfling. The soundhole, of a rounded triangular from, is likewise encircled by fine wood purfling. The tailpiece and tuning machines are heavily plated in gold, and the well-selected woods shine through the clear, glossy natural finish. Friends of the Octave mandolin have found their dream instrument--it is the new TM-625 by Trinity College!
