A Real Jewel
Reviewer: Rick  Bolduc
I have only been playing mandolin for about a year, but have played guitar (primarily acoustic) for about 40 years. I have a fair amount of experience with look, feel, and sound an instrument makes. I have many instruments. My first mandolin was a Michael Kelly, and was happy with it, but after a year, realized how much it left to be desired in the tone and playability department. Saw this KM 1000 and it looked like what I was looking for in an upgrade... After getting it, It far surpassed any expections I had even though I really didn't know what to expect. This thing is so light, so responsive that it picks up the vibrations from your voice! Has good tone, and excelent playability... it is like playing a warm breeze. This thing is like a fine sports car and made my other mandolin feel like a real clunker. It is also the most beautiful instrument I have ever held... The whole thing just feels good. The neck is wonderfully shaped and plays effortlessly... every part of this thing is beautiful. Can't say enough good about this Mandolin... Would buy it all over again in a heartbeat.
