The KM-250 (no S), replaces the KM-250S and provides a major upgrade.
The new KM-250 Mandolin features upgraded tone woods with improved carving and graduation but does not stop there. Additional improvements include a bone nut, one piece neck with a dovetail neck-joint, rosewood peg head overlay with a new inlaid "La Spada" pattern done in pearl and abalone, traditional-style 2 screw truss rod cover, improved tailpiece design and a nice set of Gotoh tuners. All in all, this new KM-250 Mandolin is much better than its predecessor, both in tone and features.
