Need a good quality acoustic mandolin with a pickup? Here at Folkmusician, we are big fans of the Kentucky KM-150. This mandolin sounds surprisingly good, and after our extensive setup work, the mandolin is a joy to play. We have taken this one step further and added an internal pickup. The pickup is passive and works best with an external preamp (not included), though it can be used without one as well. Traditionalists will be happy knowing that there is no sign of the pickup other than the 1/4" jack.
