For 2012 the KM-150 production has been moved to a new factory. They have slowly phased out production at the old factory and we are now told that the 10 we received are the last of the old-style 2012 KM-150 made (we prefer the old version). Need a good quality acoustic mandolin with a pickup? Here at Folkmusician, we are big fans of the Kentucky KM-150. This mandolin sounds surprisingly good, and after our extensive setup work, the mandolin is a joy to play. We have taken this one step further and added an internal pickup. The pickup is passive and works best with an external preamp (not included), though it can be used without one as well. Traditionalists will be happy knowing that there is no sign of the pickup other than the 1/4" jack.
