This is the black top version of the KM-1000 mandolin. Each Kentucky KM-1000 Master model mandolin handcrafted by master luthiers whose meticulous workmanship and attention to detail result in an instrument that is as perfect on the inside as it is on the outside. The superb quality of these instruments is evident in every facet of their construction, from selection of the choicest quarter sawn close-grained spruce and highly figured flat-sawn maples to hand the carving and graduation of tops and backs.
